For years, we have used quality Thoroughbred bloodlines in our outcross program. Now that Texas has Class 1 racetracks, we have made the decision to concentrate on the Thoroughbred racehorses. Our philosophy in producing racing prospects is just about opposite of the "prevailing industry standard". Our horses are not hormone-treated, over-grown, over-ripe, surgically-corrected, cubicle-raised, pampered equine art. Our foals grow up in age groups on north Texas pastures with rocks, trees, wire fences, hills, and creekbeds. They are socialized to other horses, cattle, goats, and the various wildlife that populate the area. They know how to pick up their feet, run over irregular ground, maneuver between trees, and stop for fences. They grow fuzzy hair coats and stand out in the rain. They eat from balanced green pastures, and are supplement fed only to produce an average growth rate so that bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and minds can all develop properly.

If you are used to looking at polished sales horses in tiny stalls, our horses may appear somewhat "behind" in maturity and finish. We invest ourselves in the horses we produce. We will not emulate other programs just to have to see the horses we raise break down on the race track. It is not worth ANY sale price for us to predispose our horses to catastrophe. Our repeat customers seem to appreciate this philosophy!
